We’re one of the leading animal feed and day-old chick producers in Nigeria. We operate one of Nigeria's largest poultry feed mills and day-old-chick facilities in Kaduna State, and in Kwara state. Our aqua feed plant in Nigeria is the first in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with a poultry feed mill. Both these facilities are helping serve Nigeria’s expanding poultry and aquaculture sectors.
To strengthen and expand our animal feed and protein capabilities in West Africa, while generating synergies with its wheat milling business in Senegal we recently acquired Avisen SARL a major suppliers of feed, with its facility located in Rufisque producing over 100,000 metric tons (MT) of feed annually.

Job Description

The Engineering Manager provides strategic and technical leadership to support efficient, reliable, and sustainable manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, enhancing asset performance, and enabling operational effectiveness through the application of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As a key partner to cross-functional teams, the engineering manager contributes to the achievement of production, quality, safety, and business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational discipline. The role plays a vital part in strengthening organizational capability and ensuring that engineering functions support the plant's long-term growth and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain plant machinery and equipment in optimal condition
Monitor operational parameters of plant utilities and equipment to ensure they meet performance benchmarks
Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and technical issues promptly to minimize impact on production
Support and contribute to the installation, commissioning, and optimization of plant machinery and systems
Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and engineering best practices throughout plant operations
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality control to drive improvements in plant productivity and reliability

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Require 12 to 15 years of professional experience in plant engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing roles.
Prefer prior experience in Animal Feed industry, FMCG, food processing, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Consider exposure to maintenance systems, utilities management, and overall plant operations as a significant advantage.
