We’re one of the leading animal feed and day-old chick producers in Nigeria. We operate one of Nigeria's largest poultry feed mills and day-old-chick facilities in Kaduna State, and in Kwara state. Our aqua feed plant in Nigeria is the first in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with a poultry feed mill. Both these facilities are helping serve Nigeria’s expanding poultry and aquaculture sectors.
To strengthen and expand our animal feed and protein capabilities in West Africa, while generating synergies with its wheat milling business in Senegal we recently acquired Avisen SARL a major suppliers of feed, with its facility located in Rufisque producing over 100,000 metric tons (MT) of feed annually.

Job Description

The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's security strategy to safeguard employees, assets, operations, facilities, and reputation. The role ensures effective security risk management, crisis response preparedness, investigations, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with corporate security policies. The Security Manager will work closely with business leaders, site management, external security providers, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure operating environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement site and business security strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures for facilities, personnel, assets, and operations.Manage physical security systems including access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, and alarm systems.
Oversee security guard operations and ensure service providers meet agreed performance standards.
Lead incident management, investigations, and reporting of security breaches, theft, fraud, workplace violence, and other security-related events.
Establish and maintain emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity procedures.
Liaise with government agencies, law enforcement authorities, local communities, and other external stakeholders on security matters.
Ensure compliance with company security policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Analyze security intelligence and threat information to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks.
Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs for employees and contractors.
Monitor security budgets, resources, and performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct regular security audits, inspections, and vulnerability assessments across sites.
Support executive protection requirements and secure the movement of personnel and critical assets where required.Prepare detailed security reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

Experience

Minimum of 8–12 years' progressive experience in corporate security, industrial security, military, law enforcement, or related fields.
At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing security operations.
Experience managing security risks within manufacturing, industrial, agribusiness, logistics, energy, or FMCG environments is preferred.
Proven track record in investigations, crisis management, incident response, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience managing third-party security service providers and contract security personnel.
Strong understanding of security technologies, security operations centers, access control systems, and surveillance systems.
Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing security improvement programs across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Political Science, Military Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related discipline.
Master's degree in Security Studies, Business Administration, or Risk Management is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), CISSP, CSMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of security risk management frameworks and investigative techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
