Queensland Cotton has been part of the Australian cotton industry for more than 100 years, supplying premium cotton to textile markets around the world. We are part of Olam Agri, a leading global food and agri-business. Our cotton gins process cotton into bales ready for export, with a strong focus on safety, quality, operational excellence and long-term relationships with growers and customers.
About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Site Administration Officer to support the daily operations of our cotton gin. Reporting to the Gin Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient administration of site activities, supporting growers, seasonal employees, contractors and operational teams throughout the ginning season and beyond.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate administration associated with cotton module deliveries, stock management and grower identification processes
- Manage weighbridge operations, visitor processes, inductions and receival documentation
- Provide administration support across ginning operations, grower contracts, reporting and production activities
- Coordinate cotton seed dispatch activities and liaise with transport providers and growers
- Support seasonal recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration and workforce coordination
- Assist with safety, health and environmental administration, including maintaining records and supporting compliance activities
- Support accounts payable, purchasing, stock control and general finance administration activities
- Provide additional administration support across site operations as required, including company housing and site events
About you
You are an organised and adaptable administrator who thrives in a busy operational environment. You enjoy building relationships, take pride in delivering accurate work, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer service focus.
You'll be a good fit if you bring:
- Administration experience, ideally within agriculture, manufacturing, logistics or another operational environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities
- The ability to multitask, problem solve and remain calm under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, with SAP experience highly regarded
- A commitment to workplace safety and compliance
