Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Head for our Sugar and Distillery Unit, a union-based setup, to lead and manage all HR operations within the plant. This pivotal role requires strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to foster a positive workplace culture aligned with the company's core values and operational goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resource management within industrial or manufacturing environments, particularly unionised settings. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, overseeing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and union agreements.

Success in this role demands exceptional communication and collaborative skills, alongside the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. You will play a critical role in driving organisational growth and maintaining a harmonious and productive workforce by promoting fairness, mutual respect, and continuous development.

As part of the leadership team, you will align HR strategies with business objectives, champion Olam's shared values, and enhance employee engagement to support operational excellence and sustainable development in our Sugar and Distillery operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all HR functions for the Sugar and Distillery plant, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with union agreements.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures reflecting Olam's culture and values.
Foster effective communication and collaboration between management, employees, and union representatives.
Provide leadership and guidance to HR team members, ensuring the delivery of operational HR services aligned with organisational goals.
Support conflict resolution initiatives and promote a safe, respectful workplace environment.
Ensure labour law compliance and manage union-specific matters proactively.
Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making.

Experience

10-15 Years of experience in Manufacturing set up.

Experience with Union Based set up is an added advantage

Should know Marathi

Qualifications

MBA in HR, PGDM, or Master of Social Work (MSW) in HR/IR is strongly preferred.
